Sometimes a smile, a kind word, or just knowing someone cares can cheer a
patient's day, make them feel better about themselves, and possibly aid in
their healing. That is one vital role the Monongalia General Hospital
volunteers play in contributing to the comfort, care, and happiness of our
patients.
Volunteers greet patients at the information desk, answer phones, escort
patients to their rooms, deliver mail and run errands They lend a hand to
patients, their families and the hospital staff. Volunteers are utilized
by the hospital's Accounting Department, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Emergency
Department, Eucharistic Minister, The Foundation, Gift Shop, Imaging
Services, Information Desk, Mail Service, Medical Records, MonPointe
Continuing Care Center, Patient Accounting, OrthoCenter, Sterile
Processing, and Transport Services.
