Program and Services

The Wound Healing Center offers a variety of treatments, such as:

  • Debridement
  • Incision and Drainage
  • Soft Tissue Biopsy
  • Transcutaneous Oximetry
  • Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

The Wound Healing Center can treat many types of wounds, including, but not limited to:

  • Diabetic Ulcers
  • Gangrene/Necrosis
  • Pressure Ulcers
  • Cellulitis
  • Post-Op Infection
  • Wound Dehiscence
  • Crush Injuries
  • Osteomyelitis
  • Vascular Insufficiency

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) is a medical treatment which includes an airtight chamber at increased atmospheric pressure. The systematic delivery of oxygen to the affected tissues may stimulate healing for the following indications:

  • Type I & II diabetic wounds of lower extremities
  • Wounds failing to show improvement
  • Chronic refractory osteomyelitis
  • Soft Tissue radionecrosis
  • Preparation & preservation of compromised skin graft
  • Progressive necrotizing infection
  • Acute carbon monoxide intoxication
  • Gas embolism
  • Gas gangrene
  • Crush injuries
  • Cyanide poisoning
  • Acute traumatic peripheral ischemia
  • Acute peripheral arterial insufficiency
