The Wound Healing Center
Program and Services
The Wound Healing Center offers a variety of treatments, such as:
- Debridement
- Incision and Drainage
- Soft Tissue Biopsy
- Transcutaneous Oximetry
- Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
The Wound Healing Center can treat many types of wounds, including, but not limited to:
- Diabetic Ulcers
- Gangrene/Necrosis
- Pressure Ulcers
- Cellulitis
- Post-Op Infection
- Wound Dehiscence
- Crush Injuries
- Osteomyelitis
- Vascular Insufficiency
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBO) is a medical treatment which includes an airtight chamber at increased atmospheric pressure. The systematic delivery of oxygen to the affected tissues may stimulate healing for the following indications:
- Type I & II diabetic wounds of lower extremities
- Wounds failing to show improvement
- Chronic refractory osteomyelitis
- Soft Tissue radionecrosis
- Preparation & preservation of compromised skin graft
- Progressive necrotizing infection
- Acute carbon monoxide intoxication
- Gas embolism
- Gas gangrene
- Crush injuries
- Cyanide poisoning
- Acute traumatic peripheral ischemia
- Acute peripheral arterial insufficiency
