The Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center of Mon General Hospital is launching a new support group for cancer patients.

            The first meeting of the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center Support Group will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7. The support group will meet in the lobby of the Zelda Stein Weiss Cancer Center’s Infusion Center, located on the 3^rd Floor of Mon General Hospital. Meetings will be held monthly on the first Tuesday.

            The purpose of the support group is to provide emotional and social support to people whose lives have been affected by cancer. The meetings are open to all cancer patients and caregivers. Cancer patients include newly diagnosed, currently undergoing treatment, having completed treatment and survivors.

            Meetings will last approximately one hour. To attend, enter at the East Canopy of Mon General Hospital and take the elevator to the 3^rd Floor. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call Angie at (304) 285-3808.
