Job Summary
Provides and delivers nursing care to ICU/CCU patients. Utilizing the Nursing Process, the Registered Nurse will coordinate total patient centered-care both meeting the physical, age specific, social and mental status, cultural and spiritual needs of the patients, and ensuring optimal care and service in accordance with physician orders, JCAHO, OSHA, nursing and department guidelines. The Registered Nurse fulfills these duties to ensure continuity and quality of care, which fosters all patients and their families' best interest and well-being.

Job Requirements
a. Minimum Education Requirement : Incumbent must be a graduate of a school of nursing.

b. Minimum Experience Requirement : Effective interpersonal communication skills in order to effectively collaborate with physicians, and instruct patients and their families.

c. Minimum License Requirement : Current licensure as a registered nurse from the West Virginia State Board of Nursing. Must possess BLS certification within probationary period. Must possess current ACLS certification or acquire within one year of employment start, which is renewed every two years.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions

Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
