Job SummaryThis is a Registered Nurse position responsible for the provision of total patient care needs and utilization of the nursing process from admission through discharge. They are responsible for the supervision of the home health aide working with the patient. Utilizes holistic, interdisciplinary approach in the planning and care of patients and their support systems. Contributes to the smooth team functioning of the unit as a member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Job Requirementsa. Minimum Education Requirement : Graduate of a nursing program (RN).
b. Minimum Experience Requirement : One year Hospice, Oncology or Palliative experience is strongly preferred. Good verbal, written and communication skills. Excellent people skills.
c. Minimum License Requirement : Current R.N. license in the State of WVA, Hospice and Palliative care certification preferred, but not required. Current valid Driver's License in WV. Must possess BLS certification within probationary period.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
