Job SummaryThe Clinical Assistant is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of the patients on his/her assigned unit during a scheduled period of work time. He/she also performs patient care under the direct supervision of licensed care providers.
Job Requirementsa. Minimum Education Requirement : Must posses reading, writing, and mathematical skills and ability to understand written instruction and receive and transmit information normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
b. Minimum Experience Requirement : Demonstrated proficiency with administering a variety of routine patient care procedures (i.e. taking blood pressure, temperature and pulse) acquired through on-the-job training.
c. Minimum License Requirement : Must possess BLS certification within probationary period.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
Heavy Work: Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 lbs with a maximum lifting of 100 lbs.
